I started with a gallon of whole milk, two cups of honey and two cups of sugar.  I reduced it down for hours until it was dark and jelly-like.  It turned into about 2 1\/2 pounds.  Which is a lot of dulce.\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"photo\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pictures.hamzy.info\/blog-photo-2N8I7325.JPG\" alt=\"oatmeal, fried plantains, and dulce\"><\/img>\n<\/div>\n<p>\nI made a bowl of oatmeal.  I then fried up a ripe plantain banana, and put a tablespoon of dulce in it.  Mmm, good.\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"photo\">\n<a href=\"http:\/\/pictures.hamzy.info\/blog-photo-2N8I7344.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/pictures.hamzy.info\/blog-photo-2N8I7344s.JPG\" alt=\"hours d'oeuvre\"><\/img><\/a>\n<\/div>\n<p>\nThe BGG community gave me another recipe to try:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nCut Emmenthaler cheese into the shape of a cracker<br \/>\nSprinkle both sides with dried Oregano<br \/>\nFry the cracker in a hot pan until crispy<br \/>\nTop with a dab of Dulce de Leche<br \/>\nSprinkle a tiny bit of Cinnamon on top<br \/>\nPlace a leaf of fresh Basil on top<br \/>\nDrizzle with Balsamic Vinegar\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made Dulce de Leche again.
