When I purchased my beast, I started keeping the gas station receipts.  And, today, I completed entering the data into <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hamzy.info\/web\/Car\/LightningGas.xml\">XML<\/a> format.  After that was accomplished, I wrote a Python program to perform some rudimentary data analysis.  And this is what I found:\n<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nTotal Mileage Driven                  : 15712.7<br \/>\nTotal Gallons Consumed                : 1178.019<br \/>\nTotal Cost                            : $2162.67<\/p>\n<p>Cheapest Price per Gallon             : $1.399 on 12\/03\/2003<br \/>\nMost Expensive Price per Gallon       : $2.349 on 04\/06\/2005<\/p>\n<p>Best Miles per Gallon                 : 15.362<br \/>\nAverage Miles per Gallon              : 13.338<br \/>\nWorst Miles per Gallon                : 11.605<\/p>\n<p>Lowest Total Paid At The Pump         : $18.59 on 06\/02\/2004<br \/>\nMost Expensive Total Paid At The Pump : $43.22 on 03\/10\/2005\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\nI have always suspected that the beast guzzles fuel and 13.338 Miles\/Gallon confirms it.  What was surprising was that fuel prices have risen one dollar in 16 months!
